The professional standard for any mobile production gig: A 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Apple Macbook Pro laptop, running both Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows XP Professional (as well as virtual machines of Red Hat Linux Fedora 11 and 64-bit Windows 7), for the ultimate in compatibility with any project requirement, and for any end-user that may need to use this benchmark system, to any full potential!

2 x Macbook Pro Batteries allow for at least 3-4 hours of heavy multi-track recording, editing or mixing needs. Bus-powered audio interfaces (MBox and MOTU Traveler), allow for tracking of at least 4 x 48 v microphones at once, even in the middle of the woods with no power outlets available... for hours. Awesome!
